Growing some 'love'.

Behind my camera's lenses I see a world full of love.  I discover love in various shapes, sizes, maturity, ages, and shades.  And regardless of the variation, my goal is to catch love in it's raw form.  Perhaps it's in a kiss, a glance, a smile, a laugh, or a tender touch.  Whatever form it reveals itself in, I want to snap the shutter close and give these moments an eternal life on my film strip.

On that note, this weekend I had the blessed opportunity to catch one my dearest friends on camera as love evolves and grows within her.  I watched her and her estatic husband share a bond together... and with her sweet swelling tummy.  It was beautiful.  It was so amazing to study their interaction and try my best to catch their love in real time, as it existed.

Then, my camera's eye zoomed in on motherhood in it's most genuine and authentic expression.  I watched my dear friend exchange love with her growing belly through sweet whispers, gentle touches, and warm expressions.

Motherhood is truly the most personal experience I think humans can experience.  As a tiny piece of God grows within a mother's womb, I believe pregnancy is an honest and real divine interaction.  It changes a woman forever.  It changes a father forever.

After catching some raw love on camera, I went home to embrace my own two very sweet boys and indulge in a little laughter, some good food, and a lot of love.  I am left feeling thankful and full of love.
